Fjordens Dag Recovered

I lost several awesome personal projects when my SSD died on me a while back. One of these projects was Fjordens Dag — an entry for the Fjordens Dag poster competition. I spent a lot of time in making this poster, so I was obviously very sad to have lost everything. Recently though, I wrote an email to the people responsible for arranging Fjordens Dag, and asked them if they happened to have the PDF-file i mailed them, and guess what, they did! I’m absolutely thrilled :) Now I can continue with my plan of printing the poster, and hanging it in the office. Yay!

Epic Armory Weapons Match On Dribbble

I decided to gather the epic shots from Rogie and Tim because… well, because they’re EPIC! It’s so much fun to watch this battle. The textured shots are Rogie’s and the clean smooth vector shots are Tim’s. I hope you enjoy this post, and make sure to stop by Rogie’s and Tim’s profile on dribbble.com. Pure awesomeness. I just wrote this post because I needed to pay tribute to the guys somehow. Consider it done.

Click it big. DO IT!

Minecraft

The game Minecraft is actually pretty cool. I heard about it through the Danish radio program Harddisken. They talked about how a teacher was experimenting with using the game to teach English. Obviously the students found it very entertaining to play a computer game in school, and consequently got a huge motivational boost — and motivation (along with curiosity) is key to any learning process, and I must say that Minecraft really triggers your curiosity (at least mine it does).

The game i Java, but I really hope they’ll rewrite the code, so it runs more smoothly. The graphics are quite primitive, and it would be cool to see more smooth graphics in the future as well, but apart from this, it’s actually pretty addictive. There’s just something about finding yourself stranded in an unknown location, having to use your imagination to survive. Good stuff. Totally recommendable. If you’re into Cast Away, Indiana Jones or Lost, then Minecraft is for you I’m guessing.

Steve Jobs died October 5th, 2011

Thanks for everything Mr. Jobs. You will be missed.

The world has lost a true visionary — a man who has brought us revolutionary devices through revolutionary thinking. Even though he is no longer with us, his ideology will continue to inspire us as well as future generations, many many years to come.
