About this project
For a long time I’ve wanted to create my very own typeface based on my own handwriting, so I finally decided to do something about it. This typeface is dedicated to my girlfriend Lyuba whom I love ever so much :) and it’s also my first full typeface, so this is quite a big deal to me.
Obviously there are quite a lot of flaws given the fact that it’s my first shot at making a typeface, but overall I think it works pretty well. One thing I noticed is the lowercase letters being slightly more bold than the uppercase letters. Also, I’m sure that I’ve missed a lot of kerning pairs.
I’ll primarily be using it for quick notes in projects where I would normally be writing with my Wacom, so in that respect I think it will save me quite some time. I have to say that it’s a great feeling to be able to open an application and start typing away using your very own typeface.
