From Illustrator To FontLab

I’m back with a new FontLab tutorial, and this time it’s about something that’s been an issue for me for quite some time: the pen tool! (a.k.a. drawing tool). I really enjoy working with the pen tool in Adobe Illustrator because it’s so intuitive. However, the pen tool in FontLab is a completely different story. It’s really slow to work with, and sometimes it just doesn’t behave the way I want it to. In other words, I’m really annoyed with it. So, I did a little research on the Internet, and put together this tutorial to share my findings with you guys. Happy pen-fighting people!

Behind The Scenes – Intuos4 + Flash

So this is me working. It’s all fun and music :) Still loving my Intuos4 tablet mucho! I composed the music in GarageBand, and it contains the following home-made sounds:

Tapping on a sketch book. Glass. Pen on paper. Humming. Whistling. Random guitar. Zipper. The popping / rattling sound is a tiny little metal capsule that I use to store my earbuds in.

Please watch the video in HD :)
