An Unpredictable Cosmic Visitor
A strange celestial body hurtles towards our planet, destined for a remarkable fate: rather than crashing down upon Earth, it will be ensnared by our gravitational pull, transformed into a…
The Solar System is the gravitationally bound system comprising the Sun and the objects that orbit it, including eight major planets, their moons, dwarf planets, asteroids, comets, and meteoroids. The Sun, a star located at the center, contains about 99.86% of the total mass of the Solar System. The eight major planets, in order of their distance from the Sun, are Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune.
In addition to these planets, the Solar System includes a variety of other celestial bodies such as the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter, the Kuiper Belt beyond Neptune, and the Oort Cloud, which is a theoretical distant sphere of icy bodies. The Solar System was formed approximately 4.6 billion years ago from the gravitational collapse of a region within a large molecular cloud.
The study of the Solar System encompasses various fields, including astronomy, planetary science, and space exploration, and it provides insights into the formation and evolution of planetary systems and the potential for life beyond Earth.
