Yet another great TED talk that opens up our eyes to what the future might bring. It also raises the question: If we had the power to dramatically change living organisms, should we do it? I think it’s quite fascinating to be a part of this world, where science is literally moving forward faster than we could ever imagine. I hope that I’m still around the day we’ve figured out the entire code behind our genome. Then we would have a complete user manual to creating lifeforms and altering existing lifeforms. We would be able to effectively cure diseases, make fully functional organs eliminating the need for donors etc.
Everything would change… But for the better?
